System Administrator

ABOUT THE ROLE

The System Administrator position is a full-time (nonexempt) position responsible for coordinating, planning, and administering IT systems within our organization. This role involves determining infrastructure needs, implementing back-end systems, and ensuring successful IT and cyber solutions. The ideal candidate should possess specialized technical knowledge, be capable of making well-informed decisions, and have experience managing complex projects, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with our experienced technical team to deliver exceptional IT and cyber support services to our clients, ensuring outstanding communication throughout the entire process.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and cybersecurity measures, to meet client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of IT infrastructure, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular backups, updates, and patch management to ensure the security and stability of client systems.
  • Assist clients in system migrations, upgrades, and implementations, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions to their business operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance to clients, addressing complex issues and providing innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific industry needs and customize IT solutions accordingly.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments and implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard client systems and data.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously enhancing technical skills and knowledge.
  • As part of our team, you will be expected to work on-site at our office.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT support role, with a strong technical background in managing and maintaining IT systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of server administration, network management, and cybersecurity principles, with hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining servers, networks, and security measures.
  • Proficiency in system migrations, upgrades, and implementations, with a track record of successful project management and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues promptly, ensuring the smooth operation of client systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients from diverse industries, understanding their specific technical requirements and providing tailored solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies for backup management, patching, and system monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, with the ability to conduct thorough security assessments and implement robust security measures to protect client systems and data.
  • Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with the latest advancements in IT and cybersecurity to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
